Our third stop of the afternoon was to check out Wards Cidery which also houses The View Winery & Vineyard.

Fab Five eh? Haven’t been to any of those wineries.

DSC04439

They have a small picnic table area.

We dropped in on a Friday (around 3:45pm) for a tasting of their ciders. Staff was kind enough to squeeze us in before a big group’s arrival.

Tasting fee is $5.00/person and includes five pours.

DSC04459

Fee is waived with a purchase and is the same price for a wine or cider tasting. We went with the latter.

All the cider bottles and cans.

InfiniTea tropical green tea
DSC04443Hint of coconut cake through.

InfiniTea strawberry kiwi
DSC04445Reminded B of strawberry kiwi fruitopia. We liked their tea infused ciders the most and bought a variety pack ($11.55 for 4) for home.

Wards dry hopped cider
DSC04446Didn’t like this one much. Not much depth or flavour.

Ginger cider
DSC04449Very light on the ginger flavour but at least they use fresh ginger.

Harvest spiced cider
DSC04450You can drink this hot or cold. I liked this one more than the ginger.

Mimosa cider
DSC04452Tasted some orange notes. The packaging is eye catching.

Wards ciders were run of the mill. Interesting that you can find their cans cheaper in town at Superstore than at their actual facility.
