I’ve never heard of X-Site Grill & Bistro but a couple of buddies have been eating here since their high school days. That’s loyalty right there.
Only been during evenings and it’s always busy. Service is consistently good.
The regular menu consists of appetizers, soups and salads, sandwiches, specialty clubs, gourmet burgers, pastas and from the grill.
Their lunch and dinner specials are wicked; $6.95 (Monday to Saturday, 11:00am to 4:00pm) and $7.95 (Monday to Thursday, 5:00pm to 9:30pm).
For both, one beverage order is required.
Trip #1
Caesar ($3.95)
Their Tuesday drink special. A little watered down.
4x Gourmet burgers ($7.95)
I tried the havarti burger. Nice touch that they give the dressing on the side. Burger was excellent; good flavour, juicy and well seasoned. Potatoes were icing on the cake.
Trip #2
2x Local pint ($4.25)
There were four options (lager, pale ale, IPA and a seasonal). We opted for the seasonal winter ale. Decent.
Raspberry daiquiri ($5.95)
B was pleasantly surprised how good her daiquiri turned out. Couldn’t even taste the alcohol.
4x New York steak (6 oz) ($7.95)
Requested medium rare. Steak was tender and an excellent portion size. Can’t beat it!
Trip #3
Nachos ($11.95 full size)
Topped with tomato, olives, peppers and green onion. Decent while we waited for our mains to arrive.
Veggie burger ($8.95)
Classic burger ($10.95)
Bacon, cheddar and sautéed mushroom on a beef patty.
Chicken souvlaki ($12.95)
Served with rice, potatoes, Caesar salad, pita bread and tzatziki.
4x New York steak (6 oz) ($7.95)
Had to order the Monday special again. Just as good as last time.
X-Site is the definition of cheap eats! Will be back to try their other specials.
