The place we wanted to check out was closed so we wandered a few blocks and stumbled upon Please And Thanks. They coin themselves as offering street food.
We dropped in on a quiet Monday (around 2:45pm). Server was friendly and refilled our waters several times.
The menu consists of a dozen items, mostly baos and tacos.
There’s a few daily features and happy hour (11:00am to 12:00pm, 2:00pm to 5:00pm).
Would have tried the bao specials but it’s a three minimum order.
Citizen pale ale ($5.00 HH for 14oz) and D&S mojito ($5.00 HH for 1oz)
This was one of two beer specials on tap. Serviceable. Had a sip of the mojito; tasted watered down.
Chicken birria tacos ($12.00 HH for 3)
Mozzarella, onion, cilantro and chicken jus. Chicken was dry.
The consommé was light in complexity.
These are very mediocre birrias.
Beef birria tacos ($13.00 HH for 3)
Basically the same except with beef and beef jus. Salsa verde was decent but no heat. These were slightly more enjoyable than the chicken.
Nothing unique about P&T’s offerings.
Please and Thanks
