Our first winery of the day was at SummerGate Winery. It’s a family run winery (husband and wife combo with their kids helping out). They’re a certified organic winery that specializes in white wines.
Tasting fee is a non-refundable $10.00/person (for 6 pours).
They only offer tastings outside where you can sit at one of their many patio tables.
Our pourer was very sweet and friendly.
2021 Muscat ottonel – this was unique.
2021 Solstice – a blend of four white wine grape.
2021 Kerner
2021 Riesling – our favourite from the wines we tasted. The “sweetest” of the bunch. Riesling was well balanced and crisp.
2021 Rosé – notes of strawberry and cream. They use pinot noir grapes for their rosé.
2021 Moscato frizzante – this is the bubbly version of muscat ottonel.
All their white wine offerings are very low in sugar and dry. Check out SummerGate if you’re a fan of organic, dry white wines.
