We’ve tried Meadow Vista Honey Wines at the market before but decided to check out their main location.
Signs outside.
Tasting fee is $8.00/person (for 5 pours) but you get $5.00 off with a purchase of wine. Would have been interesting to try their braggot ($1.00 extra).
What was disappointing is that when you go to pay, they only let you tip either a minimum 15% or no tip. No option to customize.
Bottle prices for their honey wines.
Some other products they carry including Karat Chocolates.
Closeup of a few of the honey wines that we tasted during our tasting.
Cloud horse – this is their original flavour (honey water fermented). No residual sugar. This was pretty tasty.
Bliss sparkling cherry
Slightly fruity and very smooth. We bought a bottle ($14.70 for 500mL) for home along with a yuzu honey lemonade can ($6.50) to try.
Bliss sparkling blueberry haskap – this one smelled like jam. Tasted a touch drier and slightly tart.
Rubus – we were told this was for the red wine lovers. Not too dry and silky smooth.
Mabon – spiced mead consisting of cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom, coridander and cloves. Reminded us of fall/winter. A touch light in spices.
Meadjito – this one was similar to a mixed cocktail. Went down super easy! Couldn’t even taste the alcohol.
If you’re looking for something different, come try out their honey wines and meads.
