There’s very few Korean options in the Vancouver area but we decided to give Andamiro Korean Bistro a try. I’ve never been but B’s been several times over the last few years. Its a few doors down from Come Along Seafood Restaurant.
Hours and outside menu.
We dropped in on a Friday evening (around 6:15pm). There were a couple tables occupied but overall, it wasn’t busy.
The menu is tiny; BBQ, Andamiro special, KFC, Andamiro combo and Korean traditional dishes. They asked how spicy we wanted the tofu soup (we went with medium).
Banchan
Kimchi, salad, potato and sliced radish. Nothing memorable about their banchan. Small portions and tasteless.
The kimchi had no flavour; clearly not homemade.
The rest aren’t even worth mentioning.
Andamiro combo ($60.99)
Seafood pancake, soft tofu soup, jabchae, beef bulgogi and it comes with two bowls of rice.
The seafood pancake was the best dish of the evening. Thin but a good crispy bite.
The tofu soup lacked both depth and flavour. The medium spice level was more like a heat level of zero.
The jabchae was okay but didn’t have any sauce.
Beef bulgogi was tender but it was a touch salty on its own.
Yangnyeom chicken ($13.99)
Deep fried boneless chicken with a sweet and spicy sauce. Dreadfully bland and no crispyness to the skin. The chicken wasn’t even warmed up properly when it was dropped to our table. Don’t waste your money.
Would not come back.
