We never come this far south when visiting but decided to check out Cockrell Hard Cider. It’s run by two brothers who started it back in 2014.
Hours.
A couple signs outside.
We dropped in on a Saturday afternoon (around 1:30pm). Their tasting room (aka. the Roost) is spacious with plenty of additional seating in the back.
They had a TV up playing golf in the background. One of the brothers was there hanging out and chatting with the regulars. There’s also a friendly black labrador (Elwood) that roams around. Order at the counter; you can start a tab or settle up right away.
They had 8 ciders on tap along with a beer option.
They have different food trucks that setup outside (when we were there, it was RJ’s BBQ Smokehouse).
They no longer offer flights but pours are $5.00 USD (13 oz) and you can sample a few flavours before deciding.
Grunts are $9.00 USD and growlers are $17.00 USD.
Elwood blues berry ($5.00 USD)
Cozy, friendly vibes and decent ciders at Cockrell.
