Pablo Cheese Tart

We haven’t been to Pablo Cheese Tart since we tried it back in Japan. They specialize in Japanese cheesecakes. You’ll find them tucked away from the main strip on Whyte Ave.

We dropped in on a Friday afternoon (around 3:00pm). There’s three small tables outside along with a few more inside. Service is friendly and patient.

Closeups of all their large cheese tart flavours.

Twist soft serve ($7.50)
DSC05105Scarlet red premium strawberry and Japanese dark roasted black sesame. We opted for the charcoal cone. Decent texture but I was hoping for stronger, bolder flavours.

Basque cheesecake ($14.99)
DSC05108We brought to this a dinner party and it was a hit. Perfect to share for four. Good texture and not too sweet.

If you’ve never tried this Japanese chain, Pablo’s is worth at least a visit.
