We’d discovered La Petite Abeille Cider (aka. little bee) last year. They specialize in French style sparkling ciders.
Hours.
This was our second visit and this time around we dropped in on a Saturday afternoon (with 1:00pm reservations).
Staff is friendly, amiable and very knowledgeable on their ciders. Make sure you check out the orchard/surroundings because the view is gorgeous.
Tasting fee is $5.00/person and includes four cider pours.
Each fee is waived with the purchase of a bottle.
Their standard bottles (750mL) are $24.90 to $39.90.
This year, they had three new flavours ($12.90 for 375mL).
They’ve even started selling fancy candles!
Pear charmat
This is their champagne style cider. Smaller bubbles and the driest of their offerings. Perfect to celebrate a special occasion.
Sparkling pear
Their version of a prosecco cider. Larger bubbles meant this one tasted smoother and less dry.
Sparkling apple + pear
Fruitier and a slightly creamier texture.
Sparkling rosé
This is our favourite of the bunch. Made up of 90% apples and 10% blackberries.
White/red/black currant apple + honey ($12.90 each)
We bought all three bottles so that we could try each of their new currant ciders.
Unique ciders at LPA that you’ll be hard pressed to find elsewhere.
