We decided to check out two breweries while we were hanging out with a North Van buddy. First up was North Point Brewing. They’re next door to Coconama Chocolate.
We dropped in on a Saturday afternoon (around 3:00pm) and it was bumping. Seems to be a popular spot for the young professional crowd.
They’ve got a great patio/sidewalk area with three picnic table style seating (with umbrellas for a touch of shade). Service was friendly and they came by occasionally to see if we wanted more drinks.
There were a dozen options (10 beers and two Soma ciders). No menus but our waitress let us look at the list on their iPad.
2x Flights
Their tasters range in price from $2.25 to $2.75. We went with the strawberry blonde, beermosa IPA, tropic like it’s hot sour and Soma cherry apple cider.
N got her own flight; the only different one was that she tried Soma’s apple cider.
Our winner was the cherry cider (well balanced, smooth and good cherry flavour).
The tropic sour (pineapple, peach and mango) was decent. Subtly sour but the flavour was subtle.
Strawberry blonde and beermosa were standard fare.
Chill vibes at NPB but fairly standard beer fare.
