We finally made it out to try XO Ice Cream and Waffles. It’s tough to try new ice cream spots out when the big 3 dominate in Cowtown. However, we were in the area for lunch so my sister suggested making a pit stop for dessert.

We dropped in on a Tuesday afternoon (around 1:00pm). It’s a tiny shop so they currently are only allowing one person/family in at a time.
There was about 20 flavors to choose from (seasonal and summer specials).
It’s tough/sad that you can’t sample any flavours.
Lime cilantro sorbet (that wasn’t listed) peaked my interest.
Double scoop ($8.00)
We added a waffle one ($1.00) and decided on the sour cherry and guava papaya sorbet as our two flavours. They were very generous scoops. The sour cherry was our winner as there were real pieces of cherry (with a slightly sour bite). Stronger in papaya than guava flavour. I think their sorbet texture could use a bit of work but overall, we were happy.
Single scoop ($6.00) – my sister went with the same flavours as we weren’t sharing. Always nice when you have the options to choose two flavours.
