Milksha

I’ve never actually heard of Milksha but they’re a bubble tea chain originally from Taiwan. They’re located beside a ChonQing and ShareTea branch.

This sign was up outside even though it was no longer Christmas…

The inside is modern with a couple tables if you want to stay and drink your BBT.

The menu is split into fresh milk, milk tea latte, specials and tea. You can customize ice/temperature and sugar levels.

Foodora was having a 50% deal with Milksha the first time we visited. They had three options that were part of the deal. Ordered our drinks online for pickup and they were ready within 10 minutes.

Winter melon fresh milk ($2.75)
DSC09905K’s drink which he gave the thumbs up to.

Winter melon light roasted lemon juice ($2.75)
DSC09906Ordered this one with light ice. Just as described; light and lemony.

2x Winter melon light roasted oolong tea ($2.75)
DSC09907We added grass jelly ($0.50 extra) to our oolong tea. Again, light ice and this one you could pick sugar level (light sugar). Really liked the roasted note.

Trip #2
We dropped in on a Friday (around 6:00pm). Both drinks we tried were off their recommended list.

Bubble early grey tea latte ($6.50 large)
DSC00575We went with 50% sugar and less ice. Good tea flavour and the bubbles (white coloured with honey) had a good chewy texture.

Orange green tea ($5.75)
DSC00574Interesting as it was refreshing and had a hint of green tea. It reminded me of a mix between orangina and orange juice. Apparently, they import the oranges from Taiwan. I’m not craving it again but it’s worth a try.

Will be back to try a couple more of their BBT offerings. Solid.
