Finally made it out to try Rachel’s Ginger Beer. They have three other locations in the city (University district, Pike Market and The Spheres). This location also shares a space with Ma’ono Fried Chicken.
Hours.
We dropped in on a Saturday evening (around 6:15pm) and it was busy. The inside is spacious, hipster and a perfect spot to bring a date. There was also a projection screen playing some sort of movie.
There’s a dozen ginger beer flavours on tap. Lots of interesting flavours like passionfruit vanilla and black currant.
Prices are a touch steep ($5.00 US for 12oz and $6.50 US for 20oz). Growler refills are $11.00 US (32oz) and $21.00 US (64oz).
There’s two happy hour specials (4:00pm to 6:00pm daily). They also offer cocktails and soft serve.
Food menu for Ma’ono. Wonder if anyone ever orders Hot Hot Hot.
Float ($8.00 US)
Locally made vanilla ice cream with spicy pineapple. Good amount of soft serve; texture was light yet smooth. Spicy pineapple actually had a good kickback to it. Ginger flavour was on point.
RGB is popular and for good reason. Wish they offered flights so that you could try more flavours!
