Our second cidery visit of the day was at Locust Cider & Brewing. We’ve been to another location (Ballard) before but this branch is located along Alki Beach.
Signs outside.
We dropped in on a Saturday afternoon (around 3:00pm) and it was busy. Lots of dogs and kiddies everywhere. There’s a small play area in the back. TV’s had the XFL on.
They have a stack of board games at the front along with some video games (NES mini, SNES mini and Sega Genesis mini).
Typical merchandise.
Closeup of the bar and cider taps.
12 cider flavours on tap (cores and seasonal & rotating). You go up to the bar to order.
Nice that you can sample a few things; one of the workers mixed the dark cherry with the vanilla bean, an interesting unexpected combo.
They also have a small food menu (snacks and flatbread pizzas).
Roasted garlic and cheese bread ($8.00 US)
This came with a side of marinara sauce. Cheesy and soft. Nothing special but it’s a small, light snack.
Flight pours ($3.30 US each)
You can build your own flight (up to 6).
We decided to try four: honey pear, strawberry vanilla, apricot and hibiscus. We liked the apricot the most.
The rest were lightly flavoured. LC is as we expected.
