We dropped in on a late Monday evening (around 8:15pm) and it was reasonably busy. Lots of tables inside. Service wasn’t particularly good or bad but at least they brought out water and tea for us.
Kimchi and glazed potatoes were decent.
Wasn’t impressed with the bean sprouts nor the iceberg lettuce (very blah).
Jeyook bokum ($19.95)
Stir-fried spicy pork with vegetables and rice cakes. The rice cakes had a good chewy bite but would have liked to see more. Pork was flavourful and good spiciness. Definitely overpriced for the portion size.
I was surprised to find the tofu soup was my favourite dish of the night. Broth had good depth and a hint of sweetness. The chicken was tender but too salty.
I guess the romaine lettuce was provided to make your own wrap/sandwich.
They dropped off a pair of yakult kid sized bottles at the end of our meal.
MDG wouldn’t be my top choice with so many other solid Korean options in the downtown area. Can’t justify the higher price point.
