Our buddy really wanted to go to Beijiang Restaurant; we’ve only been to their other location. They specialize in Uygur, halal food and are located across the street from Sweet Memory.

We dropped in on a Sunday evening (around 7:00pm) and it was reasonably busy. Ridiculous that there’s a $688.00 roast whole lamb option.

The black menu was massive with skewers, cold appetizers, Uygur features, seafood, teppan & braised pots, homemade classics, vegetables, soup, fried rice & noodles and dessert.

They have a half price special (Sunday to Friday) where you can get one dish 50% off (choose from 6 options) when you spend $50 (lunch) or $80 (dinner). Oddly, the owner said this wasn’t available as they were offering a 15% discount instead.
5x Lamb skewers ($3.25 each)
We asked for these spicy. Good spice rub on the skewers but it was more cartilage than normal.
Stir fried hand-made noodles ($16.99)
We opted for the lamb. Noodles had a chewy texture but that was it. Not much flavour going on.
Beef dumplings ($11.99 for 12)
A touch of soup inside the dumplings. Nothing special about them.
Beijiang specialty fried rice ($23.80)
Lamb cubes, dry scallop, egg and onion. Again, it sounded different but flavours were standard. Totally not worth the price tag.
Lamb bone pot ($58.99 large)
It’s shocking that you don’t get any rice or vegetables in this pot. All you get is literally a bunch of lamb bones with plastic gloves to eat with.
It’s 80% bones and 20% lamb meat.
Lamb wasn’t even amazing; kind of dry unless you de-bone the lamb and pour some broth onto it. We weren’t impressed.
