After dinner, we decided to check out a HK dessert place nearby called SweetHoney Dessert.
They’re in the same plaza that houses a variety of other eats; Master Rice Roll is the closest one.
Hours. Open everyday till midnight!
We dropped in on a Sunday evening (around 9:00pm). The inside is modern, bright and colourful with plenty of seating. Service is typical fare.
They dropped off three menus. The main menu has 32 pages! WTF. The other two were seasonal options and their specialty/signature animal shaped cakes. Prices are on the higher side for HK desserts, especially compared to other spots nearby.
A few snack options as well.
Mango pomelo sago tofu pudding ($8.55)
The tofu was smooth (maybe they get it from Excellent Tofu?), mango fresh and overall, not too sweet.
Too bad you only get a couple cubes of mango chunks. Everyone did enjoy this one.
Walnut soup & Thai black glutinous rice ($8.55)
We went with the hot version. This wasn’t great; texture wasn’t compelling, the walnut taste was subtle and we think they used powder to make it. Very meh.
Not aching to go back to SHD. Nothing differentiated/stood out for me besides the high price point.
