Weekend Tea

I’ve walked by Weekend Tea several times so after squash, we decided to check them out. They specialize in fruit teas using real fruit. It’s a few steps away from Onezo Tapioca and Mama Rich.

Couple of signs outside.

We dropped in on a Saturday afternoon (around 3:30pm) for both visits. There’s only five tables inside so not much room to sit. Order at the counter and wait for them to call out your order number. Service was slow and oddly, we couldn’t order any medium sized drinks.

Coffee seems to always be 50% off…

The drink menu is limited to coffee, tea latte, milk series and fruit tea.

Prices range between $5.00 to $6.75. No customization of sweetness or ice level like at other BBT places.

Couple of other drink options they have that isn’t on the main menu.

Trip #1

Lychee fruit tea ($6.75 large)
DSC05786J added pearls ($0.50) to his drink. It came with real lychee bits and aloe vera. He thoroughly enjoyed it. I had a few sips; refreshing and not sweet. The pearls were standard fare.

Golden kiwi ($6.75 large)
DSC05787Never really seen this before. Golden kiwi isn’t cheap and you get a good amount of bits. Again, light and refreshing.

Trip #2

Pineapple passionfruit fruit tea ($6.75 large)
DSC05911You get one whole ring of pineapple and bits. Slightest hint of passionfruit flavour but no seeds come with this drink.

Assorted fresh fruit ($6.75 large)
DSC05910J added pearls again. Assortment of fruit including strawberries, orange and lime wedges. Decent but he preferred the lychee from our first visit.

Prices are steep but you do get real fruit.
