We’d spotted Sulbing Cafe on our walk over to dinner. My buddy J has never had bingsu before so of course we went for his sake. They apparently have over 500 franchise stores around the world. This branch is located next door to Busan Daeji Gukbap Korean Restaurant.
Hours open every day till midnight.
We dropped in on a Thursday evening (around 9:00pm) and it was still half full.
Hilarious that they have instructions on the wall on how to eat bingsu properly.
They give you a buzzer and ring you when your order is ready.
The menu is split into shaved ice bingsu (15 options), dessert, waffles, winter comfort food and drinks.
Of course, they have plastic models of their bingsu flavours.
The only thing that saved this from being disastrous was the ice cream. Creamy and good green tea flavour.
The texture of the shaved ice itself was awful; clumpy, bland and shockingly flavourless.
There are so many better options for bingsu. Save your money and go elsewhere.
