While walking along Lonsdale Ave, I passed Amir Bakery and smelled the delicious fresh bread wafting from the street. Had to stop by and take a look.

The inside is small and they’ve only got a couple types of bread that they make. Taftoon, lavash, barbari, dairy, 100% whole wheat bread and 100% oat bread. Simple but specialized.
There’s no prices up but we talked with the worker and he recommended a bread based on what we were going to use the bread for. There’s no sugar, no fat and no cholesterol added to any of their breads.
Taftoon ($3.00)
This is similar to a pita but much thinner and larger in size. You get two pieces of taftoon that’s good for any meal. It had a nice chewy texture to it. You can tell it’s freshly baked but it only lasts for 5 days at room temperature.
Worth a quick visit if you need some bread to go with a meal at home.
