Gyo Para Gyoza & Ramen Bar is a ramen spot that I haven’t heard much about.
Hours. Closed on Monday.
Sign outside with their full menu.
They even have a cold ramen option.
The inside is minimalist Japanese style. Interestingly, they have 3 stools at the bar and a large communal table in the middle of the room that can fit 6 individuals. The rest of the tables are for couples and groups.
The menu is small with only 5 types of ramen available along with gyoza, yakimeshi and some side dishes.
Miso ramen ($10.45)
Two pieces of chashu, broccoli (first time I’ve seen that), menma, kikurage, sliced carrots, bean sprouts and green onion. Noodles had a nice springy bite but they didn’t make it to the end of my last slurp. Completely lost their elasticity at the end. Broth was passable but lacked any real depth or complexity.
Not my favourite in town but it was half decent. No MSG in their broth is a plus.
