Parachute Ice Cream

After dim sum, we decided to hit up Parachute Ice Cream for dessert. It’s located kitty corner to Hoyne Brewery. We actually ended up coming a second time when we were in the area again.

Cute sign out front.

The inside is small, bright and cute. There’s a dozen flavours available but they change constantly.

Preach Parachute, preach.

We sampled lychee black tea, cinnamon bun and lemon cream first time round.

Second time, they’d already changed flavours so we tried happy grapefruit, lavender truffle, blackberry crumble and whiskey hazelnut. All their ice creams are made in house. Even got to watch one of the co-workers make fresh waffle cones.

The menu is small but prices are incredibly reasonable.

Pints ($9.00), one scoop ($4.50) and two scoop ($7.00); it’s a bit extra if you want their water buffalo ice cream.

Water buffalo lemon cream ($11.00 pint)
We took our pint to go. Never had water buffalo before but it’s made with grass-fed buffalo milk! If you save your pint and bring it back, you’ll save a $1.00. Lemon cream was smooth, creamy and tasted just like lemon curd.

Dark mint chocolate and london fog ($7.00 double scoop)
DSC03483Love how the waffle cones are included in the price. They also STACK your cone up. Portion size is very generous. The dark mint chocolate was amazing. There was REAL bits of mint in it; so fresh and minty. The london fog was just as good; real london fog flavour.

Definitely would try a few more flavours that were only in pint format (like the passionfruit!). Highly recommend!
