The Ramen Butcher

Decided to check out The Ramen Butcher after being in the area a few times and walking past it. It’s across from Phnom Penh but right beside Fat Mao Noodles.

We came for an early Thursday lunch (11:45am) as my friend was worried about the lunch crowd. Got our pick of the tables. The inside is spacious for a ramen spot and service is fast and friendly.

They also have a happy hour (Monday to Thursday, 5:00pm to 7:00pm and Friday, 3:00pm to 6:00pm). Looked decent.

And dessert menu if you’re still hungry.

Kani tsukemen ($12.35)
DSC03910Tonkotsu and crab broth dipping noodles. You choose your noodles (hot or cold) and pork chashu (lean or fat). Always go fatty. I also went with cold noodles which complimented the rich, hot, flavourful broth.

The piece of crab leg was tasty. Love how they give you a pick to get all the meat out.

Noodles had a firm, toothsome bite and the chashu was fairly tender.

Black tonkotsu (#3) ($11.25)

I’d happily come back. Have my eye on their chicken broth tori ramen next time.
