On a roll with trying all the Hong Kong style cafes with my favourite Van couple. They wanted HK breakfast so we hit up one of their go to spots, Sun Tin Day Cafe. It’s located a few doors from Hoang Yen.
Hours are early and long. 8:00am to 10:00pm every day.
The breakfast special is only available from 8:00am to 11:00am.
The inside is pretty standard but they had a peculiar mix of Chinese and English music playing.
Hot milk tea
Drinks are included but for some reason, they tried to charge us for them. Cold drinks are an extra $1.00. Milk tea was pretty bland so I had to drop a pack of sugar in it to give it some flavour.
Part B: spicy diced pork with noodles. Noodles weren’t too shabby.
Best part was the French toast! So satisfyingly delicious.
Part B: spicy diced pork with instant noodles ($0.50 extra). I’m not sure why it’s more expensive for instant noodles but it is. Shrimp omelette was better but those canned mushrooms are nasty.
We shared between three people. Dirt cheap, filling comfort food. That’s pretty much what HK cafe food is right?
