Purebread is a local bakery with what seemed like an endless amount of sweet and savoury pastries. It’s located close to the Olympic rings. Gnarlyroots is a few doors down. They also have a second location in Vancouver (Gastown).
Hours are typical bakery times (8:00am to 6:00pm).
We dropped in around 11:00am and it was packed. All the tables inside were occupied but there were a few spots available outside, if you’re willing to brave the cold.
Their pastries included brownies, meringues, croissants, cream puff, scones, biscuits, loaves, bars, tarts, brioche, cookies, cakes and macaroons.
Closeup of a couple of loafs.
There’s also a crazy variety of bread options.
Love how you can see straight into the kitchen. Something fresh was being made.
Okanagan black cherry juice sounded pretty refreshing.
On the opposite side is their coffee bar. Their beans are from Stumpton Roasters.
The drink menu.
There’s also teas, granola and balsamic glazes for purchase.
Everything was delicious. Perfect spot to grab a quick snack to go.
