Bottega 104

Bottega 104 finally opened! It’s about time. I’ve been waiting for this place to open since I first heard about it a year ago. The restaurant, co-owned/run by the Cafe Amore and D’amores crew, is a thing of beauty. It’s modern, hip and surprisingly loud (bass is bumping).

The decor is beautiful and the seating is a nice mix of tables and booths.

You can even see the wood fire oven for pizza blazing in the background.

The menu is short and sweet.

One page of food broken into antipasti, salads, handhelds (only available till 4:00pm), meats, pasta, pizza and dessert.

White grappa sangria ($12.75)
DSC01930Super light, refreshing summery sangria. So smooth you can barely taste the alcohol in it. Danger!

Pesto fries ($7.00)
DSC01932Came with a side of garlic aioli. Pretty good. Fries could have been a tad crispier but the pesto was fresh and smelled fantastic.

Spaghetti carbonara ($21.00)
DSC01933Classic carbonara with smoked pancetta and egg. Sauce was rich, creamy and cheesy.

Bottega ($21.00)
DSC01931Prosciutto, arugula, baby tomatoes, mozzarella and shaved parmesan. A little more doughy. Not truly a thin crust pizza. It reminded me of the pizza’s you get at Spinelli’s (in the Italian Centre).

Love the space and I’m always a fan of the Amore family. They’re killing it with four restaurants now. Good food, friendly service but this one is definitely on the higher end of the Amore spectrum.
