We were looking for a quick place to grab a coffee in the neighbourhood and The Roasterie popped up. Looked like a solid option so we went and checked them out.
Hours are great. Early, long and late.
The place is tiny inside with tables cramped together but there’s a bit more room outside to sit along the sidewalk. There’s even a takeout window.
The inside decor is very eclectic and hippie. Old school coffee grinders adorn the walls.
The menu has a cool forest theme going on. Straight up, traditional and cold options.
There’s coffee beans from all over the world for purchase.
And even a fresh coffee roasting up front.
Smell is heavenly even for a non-coffee drinker like me.
Vietnamese cold coffee ($5.75)
According to B, it was decent. Good portion but didn’t taste as strong as the ones you get at Vietnamese restaurants.
Worth a try although I’m sure there are several coffee options in hipster Kensington.
