Round 4: holy crap, I can’t believe I’ve gone to every single Big Bottle in The Butchery event that they’ve had so far.
The menu was pretty small this time around and a little too similar for me; that being said, everything was still excellent. Sad that our normal waitress was MIA this time. 😦
Wine, beer and cider menu.
Dessert menu had a couple new items.
Wards Picker’s Hut handcrafted cider ($13.00)
From Kelowna, so you know the apples are going to be fresh. From the label, apparently each apple is handpicked 😉 You get a really deep, distinct flavour that you normally don’t find when you drink typical ciders around town. Great to share.
Angel food cake ($9.50)
Beet-sour cherry ice cream, walnut brittle and creme anglaise. Holy crap; best thing we ate all night. Decadent and heaven on a plate. This is what you call a winning combination.
Bonus: celebratory chef spotting of Vancouver fame, Vikram Vij, who owns Vij’s.
