The Burger Joint

I’ve heard good things about The Burger Joint for awhile but don’t make the trek out for burgers very often. Well, well, things worked out and we went on a Saturday afternoon to check out the BJ 😉 Great nickname eh?

It’s located in the same plaza as Loma House. The inside is small but lots of seating.

Counter where your order is taken. Poor guy must be bored out of his mind.

The menu is simple, 10 signature burgers to choose from (2 are vegetarian).

If you’re feeling creative and want to customize, BYOB is the way to go.

The options are endless. Pick your meat, sauce, toppings/premium toppings and then you can combo up if you’d like.

We decided to keep it simple first go around and went with two of their own creations.

Curly fries ($3.75)DSC09478Fries were piping hot, crunchy, crispy and come with two side dips (homemade ketchup and tartar sauce).

Sunrise chicken ($8.99)DSC09477Chicken breast, homemade coleslaw, tomato, cucumbers, carrot strings, purple cabbage lettuce, banana peppers, white onions and honey mustard sauce. This one tasted like summer; sweet, light and refreshing.

Spicy crunch ($8.99)DSC094807 oz beef, crispy onion ring, jalapenos, bacon, banana peppers, cheddar cheese, purple onions, curly fries, BBQ dijon and homemade chipotle sauce. This burger was completely different and was a nice change of pace. Actually, we both preferred the spicy crunch. Just more meatier and satisfying.

Pretty solid place to grab some more gourmet style burgers. I’d hit this place up again if I were planning to stuff my face a la Guy Fieri style.
