Harvest Cafe is a low key, laid back cafe in the heart of Canmore. They’re mainly a soup and sandwich kind of place along with your typical cafe drinks.
Cute little patio outside. Yes, there was a few people taking advantage of the somewhat warm fall Saturday weather.
They had a couple soups and quiches featured for the day.
Breakfast wraps/sandwiches and hot/cold beverages. Note, there’s a huge water jug with glasses at the front which is self serve.
To the side is their lunch offerings which are heartier wraps and sandwiches.
They have a small pastry case which has a couple different types of squares, bars and cinnamon buns (only on Saturday).
Biscuits ($0.95) and chewy cookie ($0.60)We mainly came here to grab after ski drinks (aka. coffee) before heading back home but S picked up a couple baked goods. The biscuit was dry and tasteless but the chewy cookie was better.
I’ve been here a previous time where we ordered a couple of breakfast wraps before hitting the slopes and wasn’t impressed at all. The portions are meager and I remember my hangover wrap ($7.20) as being 90% scrambled egg and tasteless to boot. I took out half the egg and was left with a laughable amount of ingredients.
People seem to love this place though as there’s been a mini lineup both times that I’ve visited. If you want to carb load up, then this place is perfect. Otherwise, if you’re looking for a tasty place to eat, I’d look elsewhere.
