We had spotted a bunch of food trucks earlier on so on the drive back home, we made a pit stop to grab some eats. There were about half a dozen food trucks to choose from but a couple were already closed so we had to settle on North Shore Shrimp Truck.
NSST claims that they’re the “tastiest shrimp on the North Shore”. Not even close. Do yourself a favour and check out Giovanni’s or any of the other famous shrimp trucks in the surrounding area.
I think they also own a surf shop so you can rent boards and other equipment.
Only three options to choose from: garlic butter, lemon butter and spicy.
Platter comes with rice and a side salad.
There’s drinks and desserts but that’s basically it so you’d hope they’d kill it right?
Lemon butter shrimp ($12.95)
We decided to share the lemon butter shrimp platter and thank god we did. The salad was bland, the rice was mushy and the shrimp were mundane. I was left sad, helpless and unsatisfied with our meal. You only get six pieces of shrimp! Talk about ripping people off.
Do yourself a favour and stay far, far away.
